Diana Zelvin has been a psychotherapist and holistic nutrition counselor for over two decades. Her entrepreneurial leanings and interest in health led to develop a business plan for an innovative health club in her area where she learned that she loved project managing, putting together a team and finding investors. These skills were put to good use when her son entered Brooklyn’s PS84. After learning about New York Sun Works, Diana spearheaded raising the two million dollars that was ultimately needed to actualize PS84’s Greenhouse Rooftop Hydroponic Classroom. Diana is currently the Development Director for The Firehouse, North Brooklyn Community Center, a non-profit that is converting a shuttered engine house in Williamsburg Brooklyn into a community and cultural center. She serves on the Board of The Greenpoint Chamber of Commerce. Her BFA is from Syracuse University and her Masters in Social Work from Fordham University.
