Alex Lola

Senior Hydroponic Classroom Operations Specialist

For as long as he can remember, Alex has been incredibly interested in connecting to nature through gardening and planting. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Alex believes that an urban environment can still hold lots of space for vibrant and sustainable ecosystems with plenty of flora and fauna for residents to appreciate and utilize. Alex holds a Bachelor’s in environmental studies, is a certified Citizen Pruner, and has experience working for nonprofits in the urban ecology and environmental advocacy fields. As a product of NYC public schools, Alex is very excited to help students learn about hydroponics and aquaculture, and connect to the natural world right in their own classrooms.
