Harvest Program

What is the Harvest Program?

The Harvest Program is an exciting part of students’ Farmer Scientist learning journey in a NY Sun Works Hydroponic Classroom. Throughout the year, students bring home nutritious, fresh fruits and vegetables they’ve grown in the classroom with their own hands.

Families can play a vital role in this unique experience for students. When their child brings home their harvest, they will have the opportunity to learn about the science behind urban farming from their family’s newest expert while enjoying fresh, nutritious produce.

We encourage families to prepare the fruits and vegetables their child has nurtured from seed-to-harvest. While celebrating flavors, cultures, and culinary traditions, families are invited to contribute new ideas and uses for the crops their child brings home by engaging with their Harvest Program Cards.
