Curriculum Specialist/Teacher Trainer

Elaine is a longtime educator and inquiry pedagogy specialist. She has taught all grades from K-12, with speciality in Secondary Education. She has helped implement programming and develop curriculum all over the two coasts, but most recently at Friends of the High Line, Common Ground High School in New Haven, CT and the Steward School in Ivoryton, CT. 

Elaine loves designing and co-creating curriculum in and out of the classroom. Since her experience as a New York Teaching Fellow, she has been even more dedicated to creating hands-on, inquiry opportunities for urban students and teachers. 

She is born and raised in NYC and has an avid passion for sustainable food and student leadership. She holds degrees in Environmental Analysis and Fine Arts from Pitzer College and is a Permaculture Designer. She feels so fortunate to be making NYSW and its mission accessible to teachers and students of NYC!
