Hannah Luna believes that science is a story best told in the classroom. Hannah comes to NY Sun Works with ten years of teaching experience in a variety of courses including integrated middle school sciences, AP Biology, Living Environments, Chemistry, and much more. Hannah prioritizes lessons that allow for real-world application that is designed to be hands-on and inquiry-based. Hannah received her Bachelor’s in biology at Barry University during which she often scuba dived and worked to help restore sea grass beds. Hannah then received her masters in secondary education and education specialist in curriculum design at the University of Georgia. Hannah was able to conduct action-based research in the classroom and collect field data on lion migration in Botswana. Hannah is excited to join the NY Sun Works team and develop curriculum that can continue to develop into a rich story in the classroom.
