Joliette Mandel

Originally from Ridgefield, CT, Joliette is thrilled to combine her passions for education and sustainability. Joliette taught for four years at Samara Community School, a dual language school in the Bronx, where she developed her passion for project-based learning and language equity in education. Before teaching in New York City, she student taught at the International Grammar School in Sydney, Australia, and several schools throughout the Boston area. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education and ESL from Boston University and her M.A. in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Urban Education. Joliette is excited to be part of the NY Sun Works team and push for hands-on science experiences in classrooms throughout the tri-state area.
