Sajeeda is a former STEM teacher in NYC public schools who has a passion for the intersection of sustainability and education. She has experience helping several small businesses and startups become more efficient and sustainable. She was born and raised on Long Island and now resides in the Bronx with her husband, new baby boy and energetic Siberian Husky. Sajeeda loves traveling and any chance she gets is looking to experience another part of the world. When she’s not working or traveling you can find her hanging out with her huge family, trying new restaurants around the city or anywhere outside with nature – the beach, on a hiking trail, her parents backyard.
Sajeeda holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Howard University, a masters in Sustainability from CUNY City College and a Masters of Education from Relay Graduate School for Education. She is excited to be joining such a passionate and dynamic team and do her part in making the city more sustainable.
