Jasmin Wilson was born and raised in the Bronx. She graduated from Hostos Community college with a degree in food science in December of 2020, where she also discovered hydroponics. A professor’s assignment led her to eventually find and start career with the NYSW. She is currently pursuing a degree in nutrition and dietetics at Lehman College. She has a strong passion for cooking, and has been doing so since she was 6 years old. At her previous job, she was an after school counselor, ran her own cook shop club, and helped students ages 5-11 prepare snacks using healthy ingredients. While she isn’t working, she loves music, and especially enjoys attending concerts and festivals. In the near future, she would love to use her unique combination of knowledge and experience to help inspire children to make better lifestyle choices.
