Founder and leader of Epiphany School in Boston, as well as an ordained Episcopal Priest. He created Epiphany over 20 years ago as a tuition-free independent middle school to serve economically disadvantaged and abused or neglected children, and the successful, intensive, community-focused educational model has been directly emulated by almost 20 epiphany-model schools nationwide and growing. Despite beginning middle school 2 or 3 years behind grade level, Epiphany’s middle school graduates go on to a 92% high school graduation rate, which is 22 points higher than Boston public schools.
